How it all began...
An Afternoon with T was born from my passion for entertaining, my love of chatting and of course my late Gran's tea set. I decided to have my girly friends around and host An Afternoon Tea with all homemade cakes and finger sandwiches. I completely transformed my kitchen and had 1940's music in the background. A few cups of tea later and with plenty of encouragement from my friends, I thought i would offer this experience as a service. I have attended various cake and bread making courses to perfect my baking skills. I now feel it is time to bring "An Afternoon with T" a reality.
I decided following the birth of my Daughter, Heidi, that this was my opportunity to give this business the best chance. I gave up my full time job as a lawyer, preferring a creative business and way of life which was always expected from family and friends .... to put on a "show" when hosting any event!
I see every party as a challenge and with each one I intend to demonstrate that I will not be beaten on quality of service. Every party is special and and its my passion to ensure the customer receives the "best". I take pride and receive great satisfaction when I see the delight in my customers faces when their home or venue is transformed. I have often been told they did not expect such attention to detail, this is unfortunately usually at the expense of my profit and time, but that is just me "we must have fresh flowers!"
I have also introduced to my parties a personal touch to your event, from vintage books and pearls to personalised frame and tags and menus.
My Ethos is to use only the finest and freshest ingredients, with my products being tried and tested and to the highest standards, quality is never compromised!
What an amazing idea Duchess Anna had when inventing Afternoon Tea, she was definitely onto a good thing and a girl after my own heart!
